Besides photo and phonon, what else is a boson?

thank u in ad:)

Bosons are spin 1

Anything with an integer spin is a Boson. That's spin 0, 1, 2, ... etc.
So, for example, a proton has spin 1 and is a boson. Electrons, by contrast, have a spin of +/- 1/2. Anything with an half-integer spin is a Fermion. Another example of a boson would be a composite particle, such as say a proton and neutron stuck together, which has a spin 1+1=2. (protons are actually composite particles themselves: they are made up of quarks, which i think have spins in multiples of 1/3).

this is a good website for a very conceptual and somewhat superficial understanding of particle physics.

this is a GREAT website for a pretty good understanding of most fields in physics.

protons and neutrons(baryons); electrons, muons, taus (leptons) (any type of fermion) are spin 1/2

photons, phonons, gluons??, pions, kaons (or any type of meson- quark anti quark) are bosons and have spin 1

two electrons, or two protons, would form spin 1 (alligned spins) or spin 0 (anti alliged spins) (but they cant have the same quantum numbers)

quarks have spin 1/2

look up the standard model for any more help
