Hey,

I have found a site which has four Physics GRE exams for download:
http://www.physics.brandeis.edu/GRE%20physics/GRE.html

Enjoy!

Thank you, this is perfect for people having difficulty finding the old hard copy compilations!

a quick question about the pdfs

Pardon me, but I'm really curious about this. Is this something I should be allowed to see. I don't want to miss any honest chances to improve my score on the Physics GRE, however I also don't want to do something that's not honest either.

P.S. Incidentally, I found the same site by googling for 'physics GRE'. So if I'm not supposed to see this, Brandeis sure screwed up.

i believe it's something you're definitely allowed to see. ETS publishes a book of released exams. however, the book's been out of print for a while... and, honestly, the only way you can get a "feel" of the exam is to work through some (if not all) of these released questions. (i think that a well-prepared physics student who hasn't looked at the released questions can do at least in the 800's range, but if they bother understanding the sort of convoluted questions asked on the gre, they might do much better. also, there is also the worst case scenario where the student finds out that the exam is nothing like what s/he anticipated.)

i don't know the exact copyright details. but, i would have to say that on the grounds of fairness to all exam-takers (assuming they do not go through more shady means of unfairness), the brandeis released questions are definitely allowed.

Yes, all four of these exams have been released by ETS in the past and are fair game.

Yes. These exams are fair game, as stated by Relativist. I WILL DEFINATELY use them as study tools when I prepare for the GRE.

If I remember correctly, all these 4 exams and partial solutions can also be found on the Physics GRE group on yahoo.com.

The link is not working for me as well. Is there any other place to access these 4 tests? Having the answers but not the questions isn't really the best study guide ;)
