Relative Difficulty of Old Exams vs. Current Exams

Post by Graham » Fri Jul 30, 2010 3:28 pm

To those of you who have taken the PGRE the last few years: Did you find that your scores on the old exams corresponded well to your score on the current exam, or was there some difference in either direction? I am taking the old exams in preparation for October, and I would like to know if, say getting 850 on 1992 or 1986 means I am in good shape to get that kind of score on the current exam or not. Thanks!

If you are consistently scoring an 850 on the practice ones (timed of course) then I would expect your score to be around there, give or take a few tens of points. I thought the more recent ones were easier than the old ones, but my raw score in the recent ones basically fit perfectly with my raw scores on the practice ones.
