forwarding pictures

My boyfriend has shifted to Leicester to continue his studies. I haven’t moved with him because I have part time job here and studies to continue. So, we can’t be together but we do meet during weekends….there are times when we can’t meet because of our academic projects and assignments so in this case we use to chat on the net. I’m thinking of forwarding him so pictures of mine via the net but I’m not able to do so. I don’t know why…..my friends are telling me that I need to have an account on an image hosting first. They have suggested me to try at http://www.2and2.net. Is this a good site? Do you think this will be a solution to my problem?
