extra graduation announcements?

Kind of dumb question here, but here goes... my family wanted official graduation annoucements from my university so I ordered the smallest possible number of announcements. Most of them have made it to my family and friends. But I still have a few left over.

My question is, do students typically give the fancy personalized announcements to faculty members? It's not like they don't know I'm graduating (they'll be there, obviously) but there are some professors I've worked closely with and maybe it would be a nice gesture. Or should I send one to the person I did an internship with at NASA? I don't want to come across as looking for gifts. I just have extras and don't know what to do with them... any ideas?

I think your professors and research supervisors would definitely be delighted to get one. Another idea: at my school, seniors can send a letter to a former teacher and our president will send along a letter and a book with it. I think it would be really sweet to send graduation announcements along with a letter to some of your former teachers who inspired you. I looked on my elementary school website, though I haven't lived in that state since I was nine, my favorite teacher is still teaching there!
