A week left, how confident are you about your Nov scores?

I know ultimately your score is based on your performance with respect to others but overall, how do you think you did? I was able to answer 80-90 questions which probably means that my score will be quite low since there are considerably more brilliant people that took it.

I didn't take the Nov test but I just wanted to let you know that your score is not based (at least entirely) on how others did on the test...

Your percentile is based on how others did, but your score comes from some other kind of statistical analysis done by ETS. You can verify this by looking at the scaled score vs. percentile data on the 4 practice tests... they don't always match up the same.

Consider the 8677 test vs. the 0177 test.

On 8677, 90th percentile was an 840, but on 0177, 90th percentile was a 900, so from this we see that your score isn't determined by how other students did.

Regards.

But interestingly, from what I've heard, people don't seem to care about your scaled score as much as your percentile.

jdhooghe, I answered 84, and I know I did better than on the 0177 practice test on which I got a 760. I'm safely expecting somewhere around 800, and there is a possibility of getting much higher since a raw score of around 85 is a 990.

Hah, I got exactly a 760 score too on that test. Here's to hope! I didn't check the exact amount answered regrettably, I guess I was still too nervous.

/cheers!
