850. Not good enough to get past the GRE score filter at a good school. I need to get my nerves under control when taking the test, I must've made like 10 silly mistakes on questions I knew how to solve.

Dude, I think that's a myth. I have a friend who got into Princeton with an 830, and I talked for awhile with a professor who used to be on the admissions committee at Columbia, who mentioned letting students in with scores around 800 or even less. Don't let it discourage you.

I studied out of the released exams, Conquering the Physics GRE, Case Western's flash cards, Schaum's 3000 Solved Problems in Physics, and Irodov's Problems in General Physics.
great score. What books (if any) did you, or any other high scoring test takers, use to study thermo? what about laboratory methods?

Thanks! I haven't taken thermo yet, so I just studied it and lab methods out of Conquering the Physics GRE. The other books/flash cards I mentioned had some good practice for thermo in them, too.
