Halliday vs Thornton for Reviewing Atomic/Modern Physics

Post by Majormuss » Mon Aug 22, 2016 1:08 pm

Hello everyone,
Would you recommend using Halliday's Fundamentals of Physics (10th edition) or Thornton's Modern Physics textbook. I am a big fan of Halliday's Fundamentals of Physics but I acknowledge that Thornton's book is a bit more advanced and may be more comprehensive. Which have you had better success with?

Nothing replaces actual PGRE practice with the available tests. If you're taking the PGRE this October, I strongly suggest you take one of the practice exam, and go on from there.
