I think you might get better help on your type of questions at http://www.physicsforums.com/ instead of here. Except for discussions directly relevant to Physics GRE problems, this forum usually does not have much activity on helping members with physics questions (the main focus I think is to provide a community for students preparing for the Physics GRE and grad school applications).
You might find an occasional person here that will take the time to respond to these types of questions, but if you go to "PhysicsForums" link, you will find a community designed to help people learn physics concepts! Good luck
